CAPS2/Cadps2 is responsible for pancratic exocrine function (see "Read More" in the "Achievements" )

Loss of CAPS2/Cadps2 in mice causes chronic pancreatitis-like phenotype including excess cytoplasmic accmulation of secretory (zymogen) granules and their content amylase, decreased amylase secretion, aberrant intracellular membrane structures, acinar cell atrophy and apoptosis, fibrosis, and inflammation.
